Honkers

You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.
(Leviticus 19:17-18)

I'm living in an apartment complex. One of the few things that bothers me is, when in the morning, good people come to give their co-workers a ride to work. They roll up and honk; not thinking about the 50 other people in the complex. They'd rather inconvenience everyone else, than get out of their car, walk a few steps, and knock.

While I was considering (stewing) just such an incident this morning, it occurred to me that I maybe guilty of the very same thoughtlessness in other areas of my life. Even while doing a "good" deed, I need to learn to be considerate and thoughtful of others.
